Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol testing is recommended as a screening test to be done on all adults at least once every 5 years.

Cholesterol is different from most tests in that it is not used to diagnose or monitor a disease, but is used to estimate risk of developing a disease- specifically heart disease.

ACAC's registered nurses, Ellen (at ACAC downtown) and Patti (at ACAC albemarle square), are available by appointment to check your cholesterol.
Results are available immediately along with a consultation to discuss results and recommendations for healthy cholesterol values.

Fasting is recommended.
$40 for members
$45 for non-members
